1. Find what you love and start doing it.
People always say to “Choose a job you like and you will never have to work a day for your life”. The feeling of doing something you’re passionate about will always have a good outcome not just to you, but to the people you’re doing it for. This first hack in life made me change the way I look at the world and myself. I was always told to pursue a career in the Aviation Industry but I chose to study in the Marketing field dreaming that in the future I would run a business. But life always has its shifts and turns making me do blogging/social media now. Yes, the thought of being in the sky guiding guests while on travel is still inside my head, but I’m happy with what I am doing today. Remember that even if you’re stuck with a job that sucks, please find time to do the things you love. And never ever forget that success doesn’t happen overnight so let us not be too hard on ourselves.
2. Be confident, but not too much.
When given out a compliment make yourself feel good about it. But not too much. There’s a thin line in being confident and arrogant. I always remember the saying that goes “I think that it’s important to remember that intelligence and confidence are two of the most beautiful attributes a person can have. But it’s very important to also remember that compassion, generosity, and humility are their counterparts, and without them intelligence and confidence simply become arrogance.” Need I say more?
3. Throw kindness around like confetti.
Being kind to good people is nice. But being kind even to those who are not is better. I grew up in an environment that is fairly okay, not bad, but just fine. Whenever some people do bad things to me, I would come up to my Mom and she would always say “Let it go. Be kind because maybe that’s what they need.” and I would just shrug it off. Why do I need to be kind? What they did was wrong and I should do exactly what they did to me so they know how bad it felt. I really didn’t get it until I became the bad guy and someone showed what kindness is to me. Tastes like my own medicine. That’s when I realized what my mother meant. And she was right, she was always right. How better the world would be if we just throw around kindness instead of hate, eh?
